Ushahidi in South Africa

The front page link to United for Africa is defunct, does anyone have a new URL or contact with anyone who was part of the anti-Xenophobia effort in South Africa in 2008?

I am in contact with an NGO who are interested in using the software as an early-warning system for all kinds of violence, but starting with the new xenophobic attacks taking place right now. Unfortunately I am short on time and expertise and I'm sure that I would be duplicating effort that someone else has put in already. There may be funding available.

From the Contact Us page I was previously told to ask OXFAM about it, but received no reply to my emails. Desperate to get this NGO in touch with someone who knows something soon!

I was looking for them as well to share some expertise and info that can both help us.

I work on tracking the farm murders and incidents relating to that.

Hi - there seems to be some problem with categorising reports on your site... For instance a number of reports are categorised as "white refugee camps", when they are clearly unrelated. These stories are marked as verified:

http://www.farmitracker.com/reports/view/199

I'm afraid that if every report is tagged under every category you end up with misinformation, which is worse than no information.
